This Presidents' Weekend was Tanner and Sydney's 12 year old trip. It was a special treat this time since their moms got to tag along for the fun. We had a VERY busy, but VERY amazing weekend.

The reason for the trip - baptisms for the dead at the LA temple. They each got to be baptized for their ancestors. What a neat experience!

We adults all got to go to my cousin Justin's wedding while the kids watched Libby. Then, while they did baptisms, Libby and I got to go to the Visitors' Center and hang out on the temple grounds. It was such a nostalgic feeling for me to be in a Visitors' Center listening to the Christus recording. Ah, the memories! :) Libby enjoyed it and even recognized and said "Jesus" when she saw him! It was so special!

The whole gang at the temple. Not a bad place to spend a beautiful Saturday.

That night was bowling and Yogurtland. We had a great time and were so glad that Britt and Mike got to join us, too!

Libby loved dancing to all the music and watching the flashing lights. We let her try her hand at bowling for the last go of the night. Apparently she gets her bowling skills from her mother - pretty sure it was a gutterball!

After church on Sunday we went for a walk on the San Clemente beach trail and pier. It was a beautiful day and a very nice walk.

The end of the pier was pretty chilly, so Libby got to bundle up with her daddy!

Always fun when Daddy's around! Especially when he's the one driving the stroller - you should have seen the wild ride she got on the way back. It's amazing the child isn't suffering from a severe case of whiplash!

She sure loves her aunts and cousins!

On Monday we had to drop Jen and Syd off at LAX, so the rest of us decided to spend the day in Santa Monica. We had fun on the pier and the gymnastic equipment they have on the beach.

We even got to hold some cute little bunnies while we were there.

Libby wasn't so sure about it when I was holding them, but as soon as they were in Grammy's hands, she was all about it. Go figure!

We finished up the afternoon on the Third Street Promenade and had a great time watching the street performers. The one-man-band was a favorite of all of ours, but Libby was pretty hesitant to let go of our dollar bill! Stingy little bugger!
What a GREAT weekend! Thanks to my parents for all the fun ideas and planning! We loved spending time with family and can't wait for the next batch of visitors!
