Thanksgiving in Northern California

We headed up to Rocklin for Thanksgiving at my Aunt Tammy's house this year and it was amazing! We were so lucky that she let us invite ourselves - it was wonderful! Another great road trip for Libby, too - 10 hours to get home on Sunday and she never cried once! How did I get so lucky??!!??

We decided to take advantage of the gorgeous fall colors and get a cute family picture while we were there. Libby is showing off another one of her fantastic outfits, of course! (We tried to get her to smile, but it was a no go - not for lack of effort by the Libby-entertaining squad, though. They were hilarious! Thanks Eric and Cheryl.)
While snacking on yummy appetizers, we all played a few rounds of my mom's new "Minute to Win It" game. The losers outweighed the winners, unfortunately.

Tammy slaved away making the most amazing dinner ever, and then we relegated her and the other adults to the "kid table" while the younger generation took over the real table. Sorry, old folks! ;)

Libby slept through most of the meal and was the highlight of the day, as always. She is such an angel!

Pajama Parade

Finally...the long awaited Pajama Parade Post! For the girl who has a million clothes, there are also a million PJs to match! This is a nice sampling, but by no means all of them. I tried to post them in age order, so you can see her grow as you go. Hope you enjoy! We sure have fun dressing her up in them!

The Littlest Hawk

Libby got to attend her first Hawk football game last week and she loved it! She was a hit with all of the High Schoolers and was certainly the cutest, most decked out fan there!

My friend Annie made the little dress for her and the yellow blanket, socks, and matching onesie came from one of my soccer girls and her mom. Sooooo cute!

The game was Game of the Week on Cox, so the stands were pretty packed. We sat off to the side so we'd actually get to sit for part of the game - the kids were all going crazy! My parents joined us and we had a great time. The LHHS Hawks are still undefeated and have their first CIF game on Friday. Libby can't wait to go back for more! ;) Go Hawks!

Grandma & Grandpa's Visit

Grandma and Grandpa came down from Washington and got to spend a whole week with their granddaughter! It was a fantastic week and we hope they got their fill of Libby-time! It worked out really nicely because they got to watch her while Brad and I were at work, so they got some quality alone time together, too. As you might imagine, she was one VERY spoiled girl this week! ;) On Saturday we all went to the Wild Animal Park in San Diego. My parents and my sister's family joined us, too, so we pretty much took over the place - it was great!

The day started out pretty warm, but cooled down a lot. So, here's Libby all dolled up in every blanket, burp-cloth, and hat we had for her. She was all smiles the whole time! (She and I had a nice bonding moment with the rhinos - the baby rhino was nursing the same time Libby was!)

Grandma and Daddy gave Libby her first bath in the big-girl bath tub. Looks like it was a hit!

One day after work I decided to take them down to the harbor area. We just barely missed the sunset, but it was still beautiful!

On their last day I had the day off of work for Veteran's day, so we went out to a nice breakfast and then headed up PCH to the Newport Beach temple grounds. It was a gorgeous day and Libby enjoyed her first trip to the temple with her grandparents! Families are forever! ;)

Before dropping them off at the airport, I decided to take them by Roger's Gardens. Boy was that a hit! Diann LOVED it! They had all their Christmas stuff out and you could tell they were trying to rival Diann's tree. I dunno...I think Diann still wins - her tree is amazing! We can't wait for Libby to get to see it for herself when we go to Washington for Christmas. Thanks for a great visit, Grandma and Grandpa - Libby sure loves you both!! (and we do, too!)

Libby's Blessing Day

Today was Libby's big day! She was blessed in church by her daddy and looked like a little angel. She got to wear a dress made my her Grammy, a bracelet made by her Grandma, and had a beautiful blanket, bonnet, and booties made by a friend. Brad gave an amazing blessing and it was a great day!

After the blessing we had a nice luncheon at our house. We had soups, salads, rolls, and lots of friends and family to share it with. All in all we ended up with 35 adults and 13 kids - not bad, if you ask me!

Halloween

If this picture is any indication, I think it's safe to say that Libby loved her first Halloween! It was a little different this year since it landed on a Sunday, but it was still a lot of fun. She got all dressed up in her black dress for church and looked absolutely adorable. Too bad one of my Primary kids asked me if my baby was a goth-baby because of it! Little punk!!! No, she's not goth, she's gorgeous!
