Hoe-Down Rewind

Back in March our ward had a Hoe-Down and I never got around to posting pictures of it. So, here we are in our duds, hats, and plaid shirts.

They had a little photo shoot area that we finally hit up at the end of the night. Sorry, no cowboy attire for Libby just yet...maybe in a couple years! She doesn't appear too interested in the whole thing anyway, right?
Brad somehow got suckered into participating in a pie eating contest. He's on the far end of the table...losing. Notice the girl in the middle - yeah, it was pretty disgusting. And, no, she didn't win either!

Maybe this is why Brad didn't win...he was too busy hamming it up for the camera. He got schooled by Josh, who you can see was a very focused eater. Slow and steady wins the race everytime. Win, or no win, we had a great time and Libby and I sure enjoyed cheering our man on! :)

Beautiful Sedona

While we were in Sedona for Easter we got to go on a few hikes to check out the amazing scenery there. So, get ready for a long post - it's just so beautiful there, I couldn't skip any of them! (And I actually really did skip quite a few, so this IS the shortened version.) Enjoy!

While the boys were out golfing, the moms and kids went on a hike to see some old Indian ruins. It was a long, gorgeous drive out there and a nice, easy hike to follow. The Stewarts are great tour guides!
On the way we passed one of our favorite trees - an Alligator Juniper. It was Grammy's first time seeing one and she loved it!

Here we are at the ruins. They built their homes right into the side of the cliff.

There are tons of ancient pictographs all over the walls, too. It was fun trying to guess what they were and come up with stories to go with the pictures.

Later, the rest of the family all decided to go see a movie, but we've learned from experience that Libby and movies don't mix. So, while they watched "Rio" we went on another amazing hike. (Apparently we made the right choice - no one was too fond of the movie.) Libby is showing off her stick that her daddy got for her that she refused to let go of. I never knew a stick could be so entertaining...and so delectable! ;)

This is officially my new favorite picture!!! I LOVE it!

What an amazing place Sedona is! We love it!

At the end of our hike, look who was all tuckered out! A big day for a little girl.

Easter in Sedona

We did one of our infamous quick trips to AZ to spend Easter with the Stewarts. It was a whirlwind of a trip, but it was GREAT! The Stewarts are great hosts and we love spending time with them!

Easter morning - waiting for all those "old people" to wake up! We all read books and played in Ty's room till it was time for the unveiling.
Libby's loot! Even though she wasn't in her home, the Easter bunny still managed to find her! She was thrilled over her new ball, bunny, wind-up chick, and...candy! What? A baby getting candy...guess her mom will have to confiscate that right away! ;)

One of Libby's new best friends - Syd. The two of them were inseperable. They had a blast hunting for the eggs the Easter bunny hid together.

All dolled up for church!

The cousins on Easter morning (well, really afternoon. Gotta love 1:00 church!).

Sad to say, but this was the best of our Easter pictures. I guess we needed a separate Libby entertainer and photographer. But one thing is for sure, she loves that little wind-up chick she got! ;)

Not the greatest, but oh well. Notice me trying to hide the little chick from her - she would not let that thing go! After Sacrament meeting we hit the road for our long drive home. A quick but wonderful trip!

Sea World for Free!!!

Sea World is currently doing a promotion where teachers can get in for free, so I decided it was a must for Spring Break. I invited my friends Annie and Laura (both teachers) and all 3 of us got in free and had a great time! Free is fabulous!

3 teachers, 2 babies, and lots of fishies!
We had a great time at the dolphin exhibit. They brought out toys for the dolphins to play with and they were super active and fun. They are such social animals, I love it!

Annie is a total baby-lover, so both Libby and Zeke were duly spoiled. Libby was more entertained with Annie's hat than the whole Shamu show - go figure! Can't wait to go back for more free fun (our passes are good all year!)! Yay!

Brad's 32nd Birthday

Yesterday was Brad's 32nd birthday! Since it's my Spring Break right now, Libby and I got to drive up to his work and go out to lunch with him. His co-workers got him a cake, so we stayed and shared that, too.

Here is one happy Brad! Getting to spend time with his baby girl is the best birthday present ever! Libby must have known it was his special day because she made sure to give him lots of kisses. :)
The loot! Not much, but enough to make him feel loved.

Our little family. (Notice the balloon. Yeah, it's the one my parents got me for MY birthday back in early March. Over a month and a half old and still going strong! Nice!)

Libby had fun helping Daddy unwrap all his presents. (Sorry the picture isn't centered - turns out I was trying to entertain Libby and forgot to aim! Whoops!)

The cake. Brad's most favorite thing in the entire world - Black Forest Cake, just like his mom makes it (though not quite as pretty!). He was in birthday boy heaven...and will be for weeks with how much we have left over!

Libby's favorite part of any party - the wrapping paper! She was happy as can be to sit inside one of the boxes and just play, play, play! Happy Birthday, Brad! We love you!

Ft. Lauderdale

We didn't fly out until Monday, so we got to spend an extra day in Ft. Lauderdale. I had been there once before several years ago, but no one else had. We all fell in love with the city and had a great time.

Sorry the lighting is so bad, but here we are on our bed in the hotel room and if you look closely you can see a bunch of huge yachts lined up in the window. There were seriously yachts everywhere there!! Adding one more great beach to our collection! ;)
We love the Atlantic!!! Sooooo much warmer than our Pacific!
After a blow-out in her swim-diaper, Libby got to go skinny-dipping for a bit. Is that adorable, or what?!?
My parents loved Ft. Lauderdale, too. (Weird that this is facing north. It feels so backwards there! And to have the sun set behind you...it was crazy!)
We enjoyed a few nice walks along the main drag.
Turns out we were there for the 100th anniversary of the city! What great timing! It made for lots of craziness along the boardwalk...but, let's be honest, with all the Spring-Breakers there, it would have been crazy regardless.

The Cruise Comes to an End

The last day on the ship was a Day at Sea as we headed back to Miami. We spent most of the day by the pool, trying to soak up the last few rays of Caribbean sun!

Libby loved the pool - especially this area where she could sit and play for hours on end! Just lounging around on the ship.
Some of our group with the greatest servers ever! We loved our dining room guys!
Libby especially loved Wi. He always had fun tricks up his sleeve to entertain her.
The morning of our departure was a sad day. But, don't worry, we gorged ourselves on the all-you-can-eat food one last time!
Even Libby became a bit gluttonous after this trip! Cheerios were a new discovery and she loved them. This face says it all!
Here we are on the back of the ship waiting for our turn to unload. We were the last group to unload, so it was a VERY long wait. But we enjoyed taking in the sights one last time.
