Big Sister, Little Sister

I found these outfits at Kohl's the other day and just HAD to get them!
Oh, how I love this "little sister"!  Those two little teeth are the cutest things in the world and I love that she's always smiling to show them off.
I thought I'd try to get a cute picture of them in their outfits, but it was unsuccessful yet again.  Why do I even try?!
Libby really is cute, I swear!  Someday she'll give us a real one...someday.

The Bee Removal

The bee sting was the final straw for us in our battle against the bees that long ago invaded our house.  Brad had tried several "home-remedies" himself (including blow torching them from the rooftop when he was putting up our Christmas lights), but all to no avail.  So, after the sting, we called in the professionals.  They exterminated on Wednesday and sent the removal men out on Monday.
It took 2 men working about 3 and half hours to get rid of all of the hive.  We were only there for the first half of the process and Libby got to pose with only one of the two giant trash bags filled with honeycomb.  It's hard to tell in the picture, but they are stacked in layers in the bag and this was only the half of it!  YIKES!  Too bad the honey is no good after they exterminate - we could have made a killing off of all of it!
A lot of work and WAY too much money later, we are officially bee-free in the Macbeth household.  I can't even begin to tell you how nice it is to come home to a (relatively) clean garage floor without bee carcasses strewn all over it!  Libby has decided her favorite type of bees are "dead bees" and I must say, I whole-heartedly agree! :)

The Bee Sting

I got stung by a bee on Tuesday afternoon on my left cheek.  It hurt, like all bee stings do, but that was all and I thought nothing of it.  I woke up Wednesday with a swollen face and thought, YIKES!  I've been stung by bees plenty of times in my life and never experienced this before!  It got worse throughout the day on Wed, so I took lots of Benadryl and went to bed thinking I'd get my "beauty rest" and be back to normal on Thursday.  I was wrong.  It got worse and traveled up towards my eye.  So, I figured I'd better actually go to the doctor.  Two doctor's appointments, 4 shots, and a bottle of pills later, it's looking much better.  Not perfect yet, but nothing like this anymore!
I've never been so grateful for my jaw and cheekbone in my whole life!  SCARY!

My Birthday

For my birthday dinner, I chose PF Changs and my parents and friends, Annie and Eric joined us.  It was delicious and a fun ending to a great day.
 Libby loves her Grammy!
Brad decided to give Lexi her first sip of soda.  She thought it was crazy, but kept coming back for more.  Are we in trouble with that one?!
Lame present opening shot, but I was amply spoiled, as always.  32 is looking good so far!

Silly Sisters

Sisters in the tub - a favorite spot!
Libby with some of the most amazing post-nap hair ever!  This started off as two pigtails, but ended up as one right on the top of her head!  Pictures don't do it justice, but it was pretty funny.
Grammy got Lexi a new outfit and she looks soooo cute in it!
This is our attempt at showing sisterly love.  Yeah, not so much.
 What a face!
Maybe there's more sisterly love to be found in the wicker chair.  Or, maybe not.
OH, that Libby!  Such a crazy girl!
Lexi showing off her cruising skills.

Lexi's First Goose-Egg

Lexi got her first goose-egg!  I was doing laundry and the girls were playing downstairs.  I heard Lexi cry out, but nothing as big as you would expect for what she ended up with.  I came in and Libby was sitting half-way up the stairs and Lexi was at the bottom.  Not quite sure what happened, but I'm guessing Libby was not just an innocent bystander...we'll never know for sure, though.
It didn't seem to phase her a bit!
Huge lump on her head and she's still cute as ever!

Presidents' Weekend in Utah

We got to head up to Utah for Presidents' Day weekend and had an amazing time!  We ended up with perfect weather and got to do all our favorite winter activities!
We did afternoon and night skiing at Sundance on one of the most beautiful days of the year.  It was absolutely perfect.  And, crazy Brad decided to ski rather than snowboard this time - I swear, there is no figuring that boy out! :)  Gotta love him!
I love being on top of the back mountain!  It was truly breathtaking!
My dad and Mark were nice enough to watch the little ones while we skied.  They brought them up the mountain for a little bit so we took a little break to spend some time with the kiddos.  Libby loved it and Lexi just looked cold.

Lexi was all tuckered out and spent the whole time we were sledding bundled up in someone's arms.  Grammy sure enjoyed her sleeping baby time!

Libby with two of her favorites - Ellie and Daddy!
A family run down the hill - so fun!
 What a cute dad!
Libby enjoyed it so much, we decided to see how she'd do on her own - she loved it!  What a little champ!
Brad always has to find a way to make it more exciting, so surf-sledding it was!
 The face says it all!
Pops enjoyed his Lexi time, too.  What a GREAT trip to Utah!  Thanks, Openshaws for being the world's best hosts!  We always have a wonderful time and can't wait to come back for more!
