Easter Dresses

What is Easter without some pretty Easter dresses to show off?  So, let the showing begin...

Easter Morning

What a special treat to get to spend Easter Sunday in Palm Springs with my whole family!

 The Easter Bunny found us!  He was a little sneaky and hid the girls' presents in blankets, but they managed to find them and had so much fun.

 Lexi had a little "finding" help from her friends (Libby and Ellie).

 Libby got a new tunnel with a tent, but we aren't sure who likes it more: Libby or Lexi?

 The tent was a fun feature in the living area of the condo!

 After we did a little celebrating in our room, it was time to head up to Grammy and Pops' room for the egg hunt.  Lexi managed to find her very own egg (Syd did a great job on it!).

 Then, the Easter Bunny found us again!  This time, in Grammy and Pops' room - how cool!

Ty's Baptism

The Saturday before Easter was a crazy one for us.  We woke up early to hit the road to Las Vegas in order to make it to Ty's baptism at 1:00.  It was a great baptism with all of his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents from both sides in attendance - how cool!  Gary and Marie (Jen's in-laws) hosted us all for a great luncheon afterwards, then it was back in the car to head to Palm Springs for a week of fun in the sun.  So, what is normally a 2 hour drive from our house, turned into 9 hours with a Las Vegas detour.  Good thing that cute Ty is worth it! :)

 We finally arrived in Palm Springs at around 9:00pm and I had to take our traditional hotel-room shot.  (Lame, I know, but it's become a tradition to do this pose at every hotel we stay in.)

 Then it was on to egg dying before we put the kiddos to bed.  Syd was Libby's first big helper.

 Grammy and Summer were her next assistants.

 Meanwhile, Jen and I fed Lexi.  It really was a two person job, seeing as we had no highchair to corral her in.  Boy, after a week of that, do I have a new-found appreciation for my highchair, or what?!?

In addition to dying, we also did some egg painting.  Syd, Amy, and I all made masterpieces, in case you can't tell! ;)

More Old Stuff

I just borrowed my mom's camera to get some of her old pictures onto my computer and came up with a few more gems I wanted to post.  So, here are a few more old ones before I inundate you with Spring Break pictures in the next few posts.

 Way back in January we took a Saturday and went to Long Beach to visit the Aquarium of the Pacific and go on a harbor tour.  Brad and Libby enjoying the harbor cruise.

 Pops and Lexi had fun, too.  Lexi didn't so much love the wind, but overall thought it was pretty cool.

 The Aquarium was really fun and Libby loved that it wasn't just fish in the water, but scuba-divers, too!

 For Ty's 8 year old trip, we started off the adventure in Newport Beach for dinner and a walk along the pier.  We got to see lots of fish and even a seal swimming around!

 This was the Disneyland gang on Friday (without the working men).

 The men joined us for California Adventure the next day and Carsland was a huge hit!

Random Phone Shots

Here are a few random pictures from my phone that have just recently made their way onto my computer for your viewing pleasure.  Better late than never, right?! (We can't ALL have smartphones, you know!)

 Believe it or not, this was one of the last days of Christmas Break.  We had amazingly warm weather and I took the girls down to the tidepools at the Montage.  I just planned on spending an hour or so, but the weather was so nice, we ended up making a day out of it.  Good thing I was a prepared mom and had the diaper bag stocked with goodies!

 I even turned our tupperware into sand-castle making equipment for the day.

 Lexi fell in love with the sand.  Yes, I mean by eating it.  Niiiiice!  (And the pesky seagull behind us stole our whole bag of Cheerios when we went down to the water.  It was sealed and inside the diaper bag, but that sneaky little worm weaseled his way in there and nabbed it.  Ask Libby about it, she'll still tell you how upset she is that the seagull stole her Cheerios!)

 We spent our Valentine's Day at Disneyland with two of Libby's best buddies - Zeke and Ian.  They were so cute together.  Ready, set, ....

 JUMP!

 This was from Presidents' weekend when we went up to Utah and stayed at Amy's.  Brad and I got to ski half-day and the girls came up to Sundance for a little while to say hi.  Lexi pulled her famous monkey-baby feet with the mittens again and looked just as cute this time! ;)

We love the snow and a good adventure!

Big Sister, Little Sister

I found these outfits at Kohl's the other day and just HAD to get them!

 Oh, how I love this "little sister"!  Those two little teeth are the cutest things in the world and I love that she's always smiling to show them off.

 I thought I'd try to get a cute picture of them in their outfits, but it was unsuccessful yet again.  Why do I even try?!

Libby really is cute, I swear!  Someday she'll give us a real one...someday.

The Bee Removal

The bee sting was the final straw for us in our battle against the bees that long ago invaded our house.  Brad had tried several "home-remedies" himself (including blow torching them from the rooftop when he was putting up our Christmas lights), but all to no avail.  So, after the sting, we called in the professionals.  They exterminated on Wednesday and sent the removal men out on Monday.

 It took 2 men working about 3 and half hours to get rid of all of the hive.  We were only there for the first half of the process and Libby got to pose with only one of the two giant trash bags filled with honeycomb.  It's hard to tell in the picture, but they are stacked in layers in the bag and this was only the half of it!  YIKES!  Too bad the honey is no good after they exterminate - we could have made a killing off of all of it!

A lot of work and WAY too much money later, we are officially bee-free in the Macbeth household.  I can't even begin to tell you how nice it is to come home to a (relatively) clean garage floor without bee carcasses strewn all over it!  Libby has decided her favorite type of bees are "dead bees" and I must say, I whole-heartedly agree! :)
