On Friday when my mom got to join us (finally!), she treated the little ones to a fun day at the local petting zoo.
Another Groupon deal scored us these cute hats, too!
Libby riding Shadow
Lexi's turn!
Petting the goats was lots of fun for Lexi.
Libby was a bit more timid about the whole thing.
When it came time to feed the chickens and guinea pigs, Lexi started off with a "bite for me, bite for you" mentality, but soon opted for "all bites for me" whether she found it on the ground or anywhere else for that matter. Some of the other parents were very concerned, but it really just wasn't a battle worth fighting. What doesn't kill her makes her stronger, right?! ;)
Loving time with Grammy. We've missed her while she was busy working all week!
Train riding time. Our two conductors at the helm.
Lexi, Ellie, and Lucy (the daughter of a cute family staying at my parents' house for the week)
The kids absolutely loved the corn pit! Who needs sand or balls when you can have kernels of corn to dig around in?
As you can imagine, we found corn kernels lodged everywhere for the rest of the day.
Max and Libby with their favorite guinea pigs. Libby's was black and white so she named him Shamu and took very good care of him!
What a fun adventure! Thanks, Grammy!
So fun to take those kids...they are easily entertained (and I am watching them)!
