Our flight home was at 3:30pm, so we had one last morning in South Carolina to make the most of it. Callie had piano lessons, so we decided to take 4 of her 5 kids (sorry, Decker!) with us to Cypress Gardens - a place they had highly recommended that we just hadn't made it to yet. So, we set off with six kids in tow for a quick run through the gardens.
How many kids can fit on a turtle? Not enough, apparently!
The butterfly house was one of the most popular spots for the kids.
What do you think - could we handle 6 kids?! They sure are cute!
In addition to the butterfly house and "swamparium," they had an alligator pool, too.
The group getting ready for our boat tour.
It's so crazy how the cypress trees just grow like that in the middle of the water!
Our life-jacket loving brigade.
(Oh, and we did see one alligator in the wild, but you couldn't see it at all in the picture.)
The lilypads everywhere were super cool, but not quite as cool as our new favorite plant: "snot leaf" - totally feels like snot. Gross!
More swings! All 6 of them were great on the trip and made us think, "Hey, maybe we could do that after all." Then again, maybe not! ;)
The only tragedy of the trip - we had a casualty. Lexi was chomped by and alligator. At least she seems happy about it. :)
Cypress Gardens was the perfect last hurrah for the South and left us wanting more. Thanks to both the Condies and the Itos for a fantastic trip, never to be forgotten!
you look like you and brad can handle it pretty well!! they still talk about going there with you, they had a blast! we wish you lived closer!!!
